Man United fans love Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Whilst he hasn’t exactly set the Premier League alight, the Old Trafford faithful appreciate his assured and controlling presence in United’s midfield.
He is also adored for his attitude. He always looks as happy as a pig in sh*t to be a Manchester United player, and is generally a smiley happy presence around club.
His humour was evident at Old Trafford on Thursday, when a lucky group of fans took part in a Q&A with the German international and teammate Ashley Young.
The pair spotted a Chris Smalling lookalike wearing the defender’s shirt during the fan conference, and started laughing. That’s when Schweini referenced Van Gaal by referring to the doppelgänger as ‘Mike’…
