A lovely gesture

Celtic captain Scott Brown has donated the kit he wore during the Bhoys most recent Old Firm derby win over Rangers in a bid to raise funds for a young girl with cancer.

The midfielder has signed the shirt, which will be auctioned to help raise funds for the girl, who is suffering from brain cancer.

The auction has been organised by former footballer and pundit Tam McManus, and stated that those who would like to bid for the shirt should either tweet at him or send him a direct message on Twitter.

At the time of writing, as much as £1700 has been bid on the shirt.

McManus wrote on Twitter:

“Delighted that Scott Brown is going to donate the strip he wore against Rangers last week to help raise funds for a young girl i know who has brain cancer.

“I am going to auction this strip on Twitter so please either tweet me a bid or DM me.

“Bidding closes at 1pm on Sunday.”

Brown had a busy day last Sunday at Celtic Park, helping Celtic to a 2-1 win over their bitter rivals while also being at the centre of some controversial moments involving Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Andy Halliday.
