Aguero was substituted in Barcelona’s game against Alaves after complaining of troubles with his breathing
Barcelona forward Sergio Aguero has been diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia after being subbed in the draw with Alaves due to trouble breathing.
The 33-year-old asked to be replaced in the first half and was seen looking concerned whilst holding his chest. Aguero was then transferred to hospital where he undertook tests to determine the cause of the pains.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Sport, the results concluded that the Argentine’s chest pains were due to a previously undiagnosed cardiac arrhythmia – a form of heart rate rhythm disorder.
Aguero is set to have further tests to discover the full extent of the disorder and is expected to miss Barca’s must-win Champions League game against Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday night whilst he waits for more news.
The news comes as another blow for the experienced forward after he’s struggled for fitness since his move from Manchester City in the summer.
Aguero had been out with a calf injury before making his debut for the side during El Clásico – which Barca lost 2-1 at the Nou Camp – scoring a late consolation in front of the home fans.

Barca’s first game since Ronald Koeman’s sacking didn’t see fortunes improve on the pitch as they were held to a 1-1 draw by me 16th placed Alaves.
Memphis Depay had given the Catalan club the lead shortly after the break with a stunning curler from the edge of the box before the away side replied just three minutes later courtesy of Luis Rioja.
