Everyone wants to show their skills under the brightest lights in fighting history.
More eyes than ever before will focus on a boxing ring when Conor McGregor splits the ropes for the first time and stands opposite one of the greatest fighters to grace the canvas.
Floyd Mayweather is set to welcome ‘The Notorious’ to the realm of pro-boxing on August 26, when fans of pugilism and mixed martial arts will descend on Las Vegas to see if it is possible for a novice to crack the jaw of a master.
Gate records and pay-per-view records are set to tumble when the biggest star in UFC history collides with the flashiest boxer to ever lace his gloves.
McGregor vs. Mayweather will be the sports event of the year.
And everybody wants to play a part in the show.
The card, which will be primarily promoted by Mayweather Promotions, is going to be a needle-mover of unprecedented levels but the focus will be almost entirely on the main event.
But several UFC fighters want to set the table for the main course by adding some intriguing bouts to the undercard.
UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic has made his availability to meet Anthony Joshua clear.
Hey @anthonyfjoshua let's have a proper tussle and still have time for tea and crumpets before the main event! #MayweatherMcGregor

‘AJ’ recently told Mayweather, and the media, that he would be open to competing at the event.
“Get me on the undercard!” Joshua said.
“Why not? That’s big. It’s big. That’s legendary shit. That fight will go down in history.”
But Miocic is not the only member of the UFC roster to throw his hat in the ring.
UFC featherweight contender Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino announced a desire to meet undefeated boxer, Cecilia Brækhus.
Imagine @FloydMayweather vs @TheNotoriousMMA #MayweatherMcGregor with @criscyborg vs @1LadyCecilia on the #lasvegas event! @MayweatherPromo https://t.co/HLq18LYhDR

Meanwhile, a Twitter exchange took place between UFC 145lber Cub Swanson and former two-weight world champion, Paulie Malignaggi.

Wilson Reis most recently came up short during his first UFC title shot, against pound-for-pound great Demetrious Johnson.
But he called out Mayweather’s protege, Gervonta Davis for a clash on the undercard.
#MayweatherMcGregor is set so let do it same card @wilsonreis7 vs @Gervontaa #ufc #boxing @ufc @ufc_brasil
