Eriksen stated earlier this week that he will seek a move away from Tottenham
Christian Eriksen swiftly exited an interview with Irish media outlet Off The Ball on Friday evening following Denmark’s 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland after being asked about his future.
Speculation surrounds the Dane since he made public this week his desire to seek pastures new after six seasons at the Premier League side.
Eriksen has one year left on his Spurs contract and the club had been hoping to extend that deal, but it appears that they will now be left with no choice but to cash in on one of their most prized assets at his peak.
After the game, which saw the Danes relinquish a one-goal lead late on due to a Shane Duffy header, Eriksen was asked about the game.
“They changed that a bit from the way they played before. They played a bit more offensively and created a few chances. Every country plays their own football. I mean, it’s different for every country. Ireland gets results like this. We try to do it another way. It’s always different. It’s nothing against Ireland,” he said.
He was then asked about his future, and well, you can see what happened for yourself.
