Gone are the days of Arsenal and Tottenham blooding youngsters in the early rounds of cup competitions.
A North London Derby is important whatever the stage, and this has been shown in the uncharacteristically strong line-ups chosen by both Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino, though neither side is completely at full-strength.
Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker returns to the starting line-up after injury, with no place for Gabriel despite his ban being overturned, while Spurs regulars Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli are all involved.
Some fringe players do get a chance, though, with backup goalkeepers David Ospina and Michel Vorm both being given a runout, among others.
