Tottenham are stepping up their efforts to bring in at least one more striker before the transfer window closes.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to ease the burden on Harry Kane by making moves for Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez and West Brom’s Saido Berahino, according to the London Evening Standard.
Talks over Berahino are said to be ongoing and Spurs also fancy their chances of signing Hernandez.
Despite scoring a crucial Champions League goal for Real Madrid last season, the Mexican’s move to Spain wasn’t made permanent, and he is now surplus to requirements at Man United.

Although confident of securing at least one of the two, the report also suggests that Tottenham are monitoring QPR’s Charie Austin and Lyon’s Charlie N’Jie.
