Spurs midfielder Ryan Mason has been called up to the England squad.
The 23-year-old Tottenham player is a last minute replacement for the injured Liverpool star Adam Lallana who picked up a groin injury in Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United.
Mason has been in fine form for Spurs this season which has won him a place in the England squad for international friendlies against Lithuania and Italy this week.
He joins teammate Harry Kane on international duty after the striker was also given a debut call-up last week.
Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is also a major doubt for the Lithuania and Italy games after picking up an injury in the weekend’s defeat to rivals United.
