There’s no arguing with facts.
We’re almost at the end of another Premier League season and if Manchester United fans needed any more proof that one of last summer’s major signings has been a flop, they can look no further.
As an attacking player, accuracy with shots, and testing the opposition goalkeeper would be a key attribute for any top level player.
But according to Whoscored.com, it seems as Memphis Depay is bottom of the class when it comes to the basics of attack play.
Football365.com claim the ex-PSV man has the worst shot conversion rate of any attacking player in the league at present among those who have managed at least 30 shots this season.
His rating is a woeful 4.3% and he has scored just two league goals from a shocking 47 efforts.
He is some way ahead, or should that be behind, Heung-Min Son, who comes in second worst with a 6.7% conversion rate
Ex-Liverpool striker Fabio Borni makes the hall of shame in the fourth spot with an 8.1% conversion rate which has yielded three league goals this term.
The biggest surprise perhaps is Alexis Sanchez, who is the ninth most frustrating striker, with a conversion rate of just 9.5%
