Fantastic.
There are some old school Man City fans that still get excited whenever the team reach the magical 40 point mark in the league. Years of having to cope with the threat of relegation has left its scars, but those days are a thing of the past.
Ever since the Abu Dhabi United Group took over the club in 2008, Man City’s fortunes and status in world football has absolutely skyrocketed.
In their new era, City have assembled a team of impressive signings, enabling the club to win two Premier League titles and triumph in the FA and League Cups.
With the announcement of Pep Guardiola being made last February, City are now eyeing their first European Cup, having reached the semi-finals of last season’s Champions League.
Although Guardiola has only recently taken charge of his first games as City boss, fans and former players alike have been making predictions as to what the former Barcelona boss’s first City lineup will look like for months.
One of those was former defender, Steve Howey, who made his extremely bold predication within days of confirmation that Guardiola would be arriving.
Although Pep’s team looked impressive in Romania the other night, it’s safe to say that he’s fallen short of bringing in some of the names on this list.
