Coleman’s reaction is great.
In an era when football fans feel like players and managers are guarded against the public, it’s refreshing to see that Chris Coleman has started his tenure at Sunderland with a different approach.
The former Fulham and Wales boss was a guest on Total Sport’s radio phone-in on Thursday night where he was happy to discuss the start of his managerial career at the Stadium of Light.
What unfolds is fantastic radio as a local fan that’s named Steve just wants to have a chat with the new Black Cats boss. No questions, just a quick chat to wish Coleman all the best in his new job.
Oh yeah, he also had a few cans before going on live radio!
After losing his opening game in charge against Aston Villa, Coleman’s men beat Burton Albion to give their new boss his first win as Black Cats manager.
Well, it’s clear that Coleman has the support of this particular Sunderland fan.
This is great to see.
