Adnan Januzaj’s run against Southampton reminds Manchester United fans he’s not done yet

He’s got talent. He’s got pace and adventure. He’s got a future.

Adnan Januzaj was on the brink for a while but it seems like his loan move to Sunderland could be the best thing to happen to him.

The 21-year-old has suddenly gone from a bit-part player on the fringes of the Manchester United first team to the main man in what might prove to be another battle for the Black Cats to stay afloat in the Premier League.

If they’re going to beat the drop this season, there’s a sense that Januzaj’s performances will be crucial.

During their 1-1 draw against Southampton at the weekend, the Belgian showed glimpses of what United fans know he can do.

He lines up the full back.

So one man is deployed to approach with caution.

He gets away and takes the defender’s space but now he’s closed in with four bodies around him.

So he flicks it back inside.

Eventually, they manage to get him down.

A reminder that after a poor couple of seasons under Louis van Gaal, Januzaj is undoubtedly a talent and one of several promising youngsters that are currently on the books of Manchester United.
