The biggest and best Premier League bets of the weekend…

Matt Stanger

We’ve put our best betting hats on to bring you all the top tips from the Premier League.

With Jose Mourinho desperately needing a win against Liverpool and Manchester United facing a tricky test at Crystal Palace, there’s plenty of money to be made in a busy weekend of top-flight action…

Chelsea to beat Liverpool 1-0

Jurgen Klopp’s binary revolution is well under way at Anfield, with Liverpool drawing 0-0, 1-1, 1-1 again, and then finally winning 1-0 under the German coach. It’s perhaps not a surprise then that we’re tipping another close contest against Chelsea.

There are reports that Jose Mourinho could be out of a job if the Blues suffer another defeat, but this is the perfect fixture to get a reaction from his players.

Chelsea to win…just.

Man United, Man City and Arsenal all to win

With a price boost at 9/2, this is ideal for anyone who fancies an easy weekend for the big clubs.

After suffering a shock League Cup exit at the hands of Middlesbrough earlier in the week, United will be looking to bounce back at Crystal Palace. Louis van Gaal’s side won 2-1 at Selhurst Park back in May, and will be encouraged by Palace losing their last three matches in a row and conceding a whopping nine goals in that run.

City notched five of those strikes in their midweek thrashing of Alan Pardew’s side, and could record another cricket score at home to struggling Norwich.

Arsenal, meanwhile, travel to Swansea looking to stay neck-and-neck with their title rivals. Olivier Giroud was in inspired form at home to Everton last week and during his late cameo against Bayern Munich, and can be backed at 7/2 to open the scoring.

Stoke to win at Newcastle

At almost 2/1, you can get some great odds on Stoke to pick up their third away win of the campaign at Newcastle. Mark Hughes’ side have lost just once on the road in the Premier League this season, and will be buoyed by their penalty shootout victory over Chelsea in the League Cup.

Newcastle, on the other hand, have endured a miserable week following their 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Sunderland in the Tyne-Wear derby. Steve McClaren has looked a little lost since his return to the Premier League, and expect Stoke to take full advantage.

Jamie Vardy to score first in a 1-1 draw for Leicester at West Brom

We’re going all out on this one, backing Vardy to extend his blistering run of 10 goals in 10 matches in a tough battle against the Baggies.

At 25/1, there’s plenty of money to be made here, and we just can’t see West Brom beating a Leicester side that are bang in form. Especially not when Claudio Ranieri is bribing his team with pizza. Hot dog stuffed crust, anyone?

Sunderland to win at Everton

We’ve spied two solid bets for Sunday’s clash between Everton and Sunderland at Goodison – and both involve backing the Black Cats. Sam Allardyce has proven time and time again that he knows how to fix a leaky defence, while Everton have managed just three goals in their last four matches.

With Sunderland looking to capitalise from set-pieces, struggling Tim Howard – who’s had Everton fans on his back for some time now – will be under even more scrutiny to perform. We fancy an away win at 6/1 or, even better, a 1-0 victory for the visitors at a handsome 16/1.
