It’s often been said that the Premier League is the greatest league in the world.

Even when teams like Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid can boast more stars than their Premier League counterparts, it’s been maintained that the overall quality of the league is what makes it better.

On any given Sunday (or Saturday, or Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday…and now on Fridays too) any one team in the Premier League can beat another. Hell, going into this weekend Leicester City are top.

Perhaps nothing displays this better than what is known as “the circle of parity”.

One the graph below, every club has beaten the team to their immediate clockwise, but has lost to the team to immediately anti-clockwise to them.

After just 13 games, the circle of parity has been completed for this season:
