#Notonmyshift.
That was the defiant statement from Chelsea captain John Terry after his side brought a final halt to hated rivals Tottenham’s title challenge on Monday night.
But it’s rapidly transitioned from euphoria to disaster for Terry, who was dramatically sent off in the dying seconds of the Blues’ 3-2 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
The defender was dismissed after a second booking in the 95th minute, and given that it was his second red of the season, he will now face a two-game ban.
This means that unless he’s offered a new Chelsea contract when Antonio Conte arrives in the summer, John Terry will have played his final game for the club that regards him as a legend.
For the Chelsea fans watching on as their captain and leader left the field, the key word was unanimously “gutted”…

If that is Terry's last appearance for us, its a horrible way for it to end. His Stamford Bridge farewell taken away. Gutted.

Rival fans, however, weren’t so sympathetic.
