Have you ever wondered who the most hated team in the Premier League is?
There are a number of top contenders for the award in the annual League of Hate poll, conducted by the Manchester Evening News and its sister titles.
The survey began earlier this month and was focused on the 2016/17 season, thus including promoted sides Burnley, Middlesbrough and Hull.
Unsurprisingly none of those teams made the top ten as that was reserved for the more divisive sides in the league.
Chelsea came out on top, with Manchester United hot on their heels as runners-up.
Liverpool got third spot while Manchester City’s fourth-place finish likely stems from their recent wealth.
People have absolutely no issues with Leicester or Bournemouth though, which is easy to understand as who doesn’t love an underdog story? Does that make the Foxes the best-loved Premier League champions ever?
Here are the results in full, going from the most hated to the least.
1) Chelsea
