This would be bloody typical.

As England fans gear up for Euro 2016 with far more enthusiasm and hope than usual, following a Premier League season notable for the number of superb English performers, there were fears one of the potential stars of France could have picked up serious injury.

A concerned Jamie Vardy went down clutching his leg with a pained look on his face, as his teammates were busy hugging each other and celebrating their coronation win. The Foxes beat Everton 3-1, thanks to two goals from Vardy himself, before the fitness issue.

Speaking to Sky cameras after the game, the Leicester marksman was unsure about the seriousness of the injury, admitting that it would need to be assessed by the medical staff at the King Power stadium: “Hopefully it’s just cramp, but I’ll find out in a bit when I get in.”

Don’t do this to us Jamie mate.
