It seems that money is no object as Manchester United keep up their pursuit of Neymar.
The transfer fee alone for the Barcelona star would represent a world record by some distance, likely making him the world’s first £100m footballer.
Neymar has a release clause of £130m, but The Sun report that once taxes and a bumper five-year contract are added into the mix, United’s outlay could be somewhere in the region of £240m.
United do not seem put off by the mammoth fee, which would potentially more than double the British record £59.7m they paid for Angel Di Maria.
