The #WengerOut brigade have already shown up this season (unlike Arsenal)

It didn't take them long...

Same shit, different season.

Being an Arsenal fan is a tough job. You’re stuck in that not-so-sweet spot right between actually winning things and not being expected to win things.

Year on year, the Gunners seem to run into the same problems, as the lack of depth in the squad is exposed at earlier stages each season.

This time around, Arsenal come into the opening game of the season without their three preferred centre-backs as well as their number one striker, with fans having spent the entire summer pleading with Arsene Wenger to strengthen in both areas.

Although they took the lead against Liverpool in their home opener on Sunday afternoon, things quickly turned as the away side banged in four goals in a short space of time to leave the Gunners chasing the game before goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers made things interesting again.

And so the inevitable march of the #WengerOut brigade began before the first game was even over.

In fact, it began even before kick off.

And things got worse when Theo Walcott missed an early penalty.

But even when Walcott made amends with the opening goal of the game, Gooners weren’t pleased.

And then they started to turn on their captain for the day, Petr Cech, despite the fact he was being shielded by two inexperienced centre-backs.

But there were those who knew who to blame – Wenger for sticking Cech with the inexperienced pair.

And by the time the fourth had gone in, they knew what they wanted.

For some, it was a bad thing that the Gunners managed to pull two goals back and close the gap.

Some were just enjoying the show.
