Liverpool fans got a dream start to their Premier League season last weekend but that joy could prove to be short-lived.
The Reds’ most costly summer signing, Sadio Mane, enjoyed a fruitful beginning to life under Jurgen Klopp as he got 90 minutes under his belt and scored his first goal for Liverpool against Arsenal at the weekend.
But it’s not all going his way since moving to Merseyside from Southampton as reports claim that the 24-year-old has been taken to hospital with an injury.
The Guardian report that Mane sustained a shoulder injury in a training session on Wednesday morning.
He was immediately taken to Spire Liverpool Hospital after the collision and it is currently unclear whether or not the Senegal international will be fit for Liverpool’s trip to Turf Moor at the weekend to take on newly-promoted Burnley.
Understandably, supporters weren’t exactly thrilled with the news.
Why can't things not just go right for us for once #Mané 🖓
