Thiago Silva claims that Angel Di Maria’s imminent move to Paris Saint-Germain would be a ‘step up’ from Manchester United.
The Brazilian defender, who no doubt dreamt of playing for the French side as a child, reckons Di Maria is joining a bigger club.
“Real Madrid and Barcelona are probably on another level, but after that if you join PSG you are you probably taking a step up,” said the stopper with a straight face.
“We went further than any English clubs in Europe last year,” added Silva, as a somewhat feeble explanation.
It is worth noting that the great Paris Saint-Germain are four years younger than their own manager, Laurent Blanc.
What’s more, they can boast a whole FIVE league titles in their entire history – as many as United have won in the last decade.
