Hazard’s move to Madrid is very close
Eden Hazard’s transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid is nearing completion.
Following reports from Spain on Wednesday that an agreement had been reached over a €100m fee, it’s now expected the Belgium international’s move could be officially announced in a matter of hours.
His final appearance for Chelsea came as he helped them to Europa League victory over Arsenal in Baku. Since then, he’s kept a relatively low profile, prompting YouTuber DjMaRiiO to ask his Twitter following if anyone knew of his current whereabouts.
With a single hand-up emoji, a reply from Hazard’s former Chelsea teammate and friend, Thibaut Courtois, who signed for Real Madrid last year, indicated he did know.

Another sign that the transfer is inching ever closer.
News of Hazard’s imminent arrival comes within 48 hours of Real tying up a move for Luka Jovic, Eintracht Frankfurt’s free-scoring Serbian international.
The 21-year-old scored 27 goals for the Bundesliga side during last season, including against Chelsea side in the Europa League semi-finals.
He moves to the Bernabeu for a reported fee of €65 million before add-ons (around £57.7m) and it’s hoped he will help address the lack of goals scored by the club following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus last summer.
