Following reports that two current Premier League footballers feel ready to come out as openly gay, Thierry Henry has been speaking on the subject.
The Arsenal legend referred to LA Galaxy player Robbie Rogers coming out in MLS, and how that was wasn’t a problem in any way, shape or form for his teammates and fellow pros.
Henry argued that it shouldn’t be a big deal for a player to be openly gay in this day and age. As is often her way, Kay Burley pounced on this and asked whether he meant players “should make a statement about coming out”.
