So said the first Duke of Wellington. We don’t know for certain whether he was a Liverpool fan (probably not seeing as they didn’t exist), but he could easily have been talking about the club’s raucous fans on Thursday night.
If you thought the crowd inside Anfield were a sight (and sound) to behold after the redmen beat Dortmund 4-3, the scenes outside the ground were truly epic. So much so that in a beautiful reversal of roles, the players themselves became the spectators.
