This is who Holly Holm’s coach thinks the UFC champion should fight next

Ronda Rousey might have to wait for a rematch...

As the dust settles from Holly Holm’s stunning destruction of the previously undefeated champion Ronda Rousey, many are asking who’s next?

There are those who think that Rousey will be pushing for an immediate rematch to avenge the devastating loss she suffered against Holm at UFC 193.

It’s a fight many people would love to see – and its one that Holm has already said she would gladly take to give Rowdy another beating.

But after suffering a brutal knock-out and undergoing plastic surgery, Rousey faces a six-month lay-off and there’s also talk of her taking time out to work on the movie Roadhouse.

Even if Rousey was back in action and clamouring for a re-run against the new champion, Holm’s coach has other ideas.

Ronda Rousey Knock Out KO

Mike Winkeljohn, who has coached her for 17 years, thinks Rousey should get in line and believes Miesha Tate should be the fighter Holm defends her title against first.

“It will be a long road back for Ronda, I think she needs to get a lot of gym time in and really focus on her boxing skills because she’s really missing in that area,” he told MMA Latest.

‘To be honest I don’t see a rematch being much different to the first fight, I think Holly is evolving and getting even better every day so I think Holly would be very comfortable in a rematch and Holly would be victorious.

“In regards to who Holly should fight next, that’s Holly’s decision, but I think Miesha Tate deserves a chance, I think that makes the most sense.”
