How many times do people have to be told?
Just because you’ve seen something on the internet, it doesn’t mean it’s real.
Another example of this came on Sunday afternoon, when the @Everything_City Twitter account sent this out ahead of Manchester City’s game with Liverpool.
With Manchester United finally managing to get out of sixth for more than a few hours, a victory for City over Liverpool in the later game on Sunday would leave Jose Mourinho’s side with a chance to climb into the top four – if they won their games in hand over the Merseyside club.
Knowing that this was one of few occasions where United supporters might be hoping for a City victory, the person with the keys to this Twitter account clearly meant this call for supporters of both Manchester clubs to unite against Liverpool as a piss take… not that plenty of those that saw it realised this…

The tweet has since been deleted – probably because so many people were unfollowing the account on the strength of it – with the person responsible confirming that it had indeed been intended as a joke.
