When you’ve not won the league for a while, the last thing you need is people reminding you about it.
But with Leicester City currently running away with the title there’s a few big clubs having their noses rubbed in it right now – Liverpool being one of them.
While they’ve bagged some decent silverware over the past decade including the Champions League, the FA Cup and the League Cup, it’s the Premier League trophy that still eludes them.
Despite coming agonisingly close under Brendan Rodgers to sweet, sweet victory, it’s been more than 25 years since they were last champions of England.
Someone, somewhere (which we presume may be a Manchester United fan) put together one tweet that truly sums up their plight perfectly.
There’s really no comeback to this…
Since #LFC last won the PL, Peter Schmeichel signed for #MUFC, won it 5 times, retired, had a son, and he's about to win it with Leicester.
