It was a bad night for Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger’s men slumped to a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb in their opening Champions League game.
It was a record 50th loss for Wenger in the competition.
While there will be inquests about everything from tactics to team selection – there’s one statistic that shows just how bad this defeat actually was.
Dinamo Zagreb had not won a Champions League game in 15 attempts. The last time they won a game was against Sturm Graz in 1999.
