He has been on top form for Blackburn this season

Blackburn Rovers have drawn their first two matches of the season, but they might just have the best player in the Championship in their squad.

Bradley Dack, a creative midfielder who began his career at Gilingham before joining the Lancashire side in 2017 has received a lot of attention during the opening weeks of this season and after tonight’s 5-1 thrashing of Carlisle, it’s easy to understand why.

The playmaker picked up two goals of his own tonight in the Carabao Cup and two assists to boot, continuing an excellent run of form stretching back into last season. The stats speak for themselves, and one in particular illustrates how much quality he possesses.

Dack has been directly involved in 16 goals in his last 14 games for Blackburn in all competitions. (9 goals, 7 assists).

He claimed an assist shortly after Opta published this tweet.

That’s the sort of form that will get you a move to the Premier League, or at least Aston Villa.

He is a strong attacking midfielder with an eye for a pass and a powerful shot on him; he’s got the whole package and has rightly earned the tag of being the best player outside the Premier League, although Leeds fans may disagree, with Samuel Sáiz putting forwarda good case for himself to be crowned the king of the Championship.

Dack impressed during a pre-season friendly against Liverpool, as this short clip of him escaping a tight situation with clever footwork demonstrates.

Don’t be surprised to see Premier League clubs who are struggling in January come sniffing around for him.
