Tottenham are set to return to the Champions League next season, and could end up playing their home fixtures in the competition at Wembley Stadium.

Spurs are scheduled to move into their new £400m stadium in time for the start of the 2018/19 season, and have been told that part of White Hart Lane’s North Stand may need to be removed if the project is to stay on schedule.

According to The Guardian, the club is considering switching to another venue to play their home matches, compensating for the reduction in capacity that changes to their current ground would bring.

Although the report claims that the national stadium is an option, it also claims that no decision has been reached, and that the club may install temporary seating at White Hart Lane as a way around the matter.

Spurs are also expected to move into Wembley for the 2017/18 season, with talks with the FA said to be at an advanced stage.
