Transfer gossip: Arsenal consider Edin Dzeko raid

Arsenal have gradually built themselves a formidable-looking squad, but still lack a little something upfront.

That something could be Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko, whom the Star claim has appeared on Arsene Wenger’s radar.

If the move is successful, Arsenal will be the proud owners of two of the best-worst strikers in the world.

Paris Angel

Despite continuous public clams to the contrary, it seems that Angel Di Maria is intent on leaving Manchester… according to the press.

The latest reports from France, and more specifically L’Equipe, suggest that Di Maria wants to join PSG.

Sadly for Angel, those meanies at Old Trafford are insisting on a transfer fee – around £52m. How very rude of them.

OT for Pedro

If – and remember it’s a £52m if – Di Maria does leave Old Trafford without ever properly finding his feet, United have a very purdy contingency.

According the Mirror, they’ve identified Barcelona’s Pedro as the ideal replacement for the Argentine, who we’re very close to calling ‘wantaway’.

Britain’s most reflective paper claim that United have been handed a ‘boost’ due to Chelsea dropping their interest in the forever young Catalan.

Encore une fois…

*Chelsea no longer want Juan Cuadrado, but have slapped a £26m price-tag on him. Only Chelsea could ask for that much for a player in terrible form…and get it. (London Evening Standard)

*Arsenal have been linked to another big name signing – Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang! It’s funny because his name is big! No you shut up. (Mirror)
