Chelsea seek Drogba replacement
It looks like Didier Drogba’s second spell at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end, and Chelsea are weighing up their options over a possible replacement.
According to the Daily Mirror, Jose Mourinho could make a shock move for Liverpool flop Rickie Lambert, who has scored just three goals in 35 appearances for the Reds.
The Blues boss apparently sent scouts to watch Lambert in Saturday’s 2-1 win over QPR, with a cut-price transfer on the cards.
L’Equipe claim that Manchester United have approached Hugo Lloris about a potential move to Old Trafford this summer.
The Spurs keeper is seen as an ideal replacement for David De Gea, should the Spaniard depart for Real Madrid, and reportedly has a release clause allowing him to leave for a club in the Champions League.
Lloris’ camp apparently made the revelation of United’s offer, which doesn’t bode well for his future at Spurs.
Arsenal chase Cabaye
Yohann Cabaye could be on his way to the Emirates at long last.
The former Newcastle man has been linked with a move to the Gunners for the past two years, and is now thought to be available after failing to cement his place at PSG.
According to The Telegraph, Arsene Wenger could swoop with a £10m bid to secure the midfielder’s services.
