Liverpool’s attentions turn Bacca to Carlos

Liverpool have had their eye on Colombia striker Carlos Bacca and Venezuela’s Salomon Rondon at the Copa America, and one or both of the South American pair could arrive at Anfield this summer.

The Liverpool Echo report that the pair will cost a combined £35m, and Zenit frontman Rondon will return early from Chile following his country’s group stage elimination.

Bacca, who recently hit the headlines for a shove on Brazil’s Neymar, scored 28 goals for Spanish side Sevilla last season.

United make late surge for Ramos

Manchester United have spoken to Real Madrid about the possibility of including Sergio Ramos in any deal for David De Gea.

However, the Independent report that the Spanish club value Ramos higher than the United goalkeeper, who only has one year remaining on his contract.

Ramos has been in Madrid for a decade, but is thought to be upset at the club letting his contract run down into its final two years.

Gala to gamble on Spurs flop Soldado

Tottenham are ready to take a £15m hit on striker Roberto Soldado, with Turkish champions Galatasaray hoping the Spaniard can bolster their front line.

According to the Daily Mirror, the London club are holding out for £11m for the 30-year-old, who has scored just seven Premier League goals in more than 50 appearances.

Galatasaray will be keen to add firepower as they look to improve on a disappointing showing in last season’s Champions League, where they picked up just one group stage point.
