United spree and easy
Manchester United are to sign all of the players. We exaggerate, but it’s quite a roll call.
According to the UK’s most reflectively named tabloid daily, United are after Jasper Cillessen, Sergio Ramos, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Karim Benzema.
We would like to stress that none of these players is simply stringing United along to negotiate themselves better deals. Not one.
Final means (kinda) final
Despite providing Liverpool with a take-it-or-leave-it transfer ultimatum, Manchester City are skulking around Raheem Sterling again.
By the Liverpool Echo‘s reckoning, City are to make a final final take-it-or-leave-it-or-just-wait-for-the-next-offer offer.
Apparently it will take an (eventual) fee of £50m to prize Sterling away from Anfield, but City aren’t willing to spend that much…until they do.
Jack and City talk
Another English player that Manuel Pellegrini is eager to add to his homegrown contingent is Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere.
The Sun repeat a story that we’re sure was doing the rounds a few days ago about how the Arsenal man is backup for prime target Paul Pogba.
We can’t see this deal going through. What do we think of this rumour? Sh*t. What do we think of sh*t? This rumour.
