Pellegrini causing a Ster
Man City manager Manuel Pellegrini is being given a significant budget with which to launch a title bid, and Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling is one of his main targets.
The England international, along with Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, are top of the Chilean’s list according to the Daily Mail.
Meanwhile Sky Sports claim Kevin de Bruyne could also move to the Etihad, with the former Chelsea midfielder open to a return to England.
Casillas it’s over, Casillas away
Iker Casillas could be allowed to leave Real Madrid if the club complete the signing of David De Gea, and Arsenal are keen on the Spaniard.
The Evening Standard report that Petr Cech remains the Gunners’ top target, though Casillas remains on their radar.
At 34 years of age, Spain’s most-capped player is just slightly older than former Arsenal number one Jens Lehmann was when he joined the London club in 2003.
Johnson trading Liver bird for Turkey
Liverpool defender Glen Johnson could join Turkish club Besiktas on a free after his Anfield contract was allowed to run down.
The England international is anticipated to sign a two-year deal with the Istanbul side, according to the Liverpool Echo.
With Besiktas and Liverpool both poised for Europa League football next season, it is not out of the question that Johnson could find himself lining up against his former employers.
