Transfer Gossip: Walcott, De Gea, Nainggolan, Januzaj, Casillas

United fighting Liverpool for Nainggolan

It’s like keeping up with the Joneses between Manchester and Merseyside.

First it’s a tussle over PSV Einshoven star Memphis Depay, now attentions have turned to Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

Liverpool saw him first (apparently) but now Manchester United are lining up a ÂŁ29m bid for the 26-year-old Roma star, say Corriere dello Sport.

Where will it end?

Walcott in the frame again for Liverpool

Liverpool appear to be flirting with the idea of signing Theo Walcott again.

The Metro say the Arsenal and England speedster is back in Brendan Rodgers’ crosshairs once more.

The Anfield boss reportedly wants to bring in two big names after the exit of Suarez and injury to Daniel Sturridge…but it looks like Walcott will have to do.

The winger’s Emirates deal expires this summer.

United say keeper is a keeper

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea could be staying at Old Trafford for another year.

The Independent report that United believe they have tied down the 24-year-old (possibly literally) at least for another season by upping his wages to ÂŁ200,000 a week.

The Spanish stopper is wanted by Real Madrid, but United will be desperate to keep hold of him.

You want more?

*Real Madrid’s veteran keeper Iker Casillas, 33, wants to join Arsenal this summer which could mean they step up attempts to lure David De Gea to the Bernabeu.

*Madrid have just 48 hours to make a decision on loan striker Javier Hernandez. Oh it’s more tense than an extended episode of 24.

* Everton could be set to take Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj, 20, on a year-long loan.

*Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke’s agent has poured cold water on talk of a move to Liverpool (not literally, that would be a waste of good water.)

*Meanwhile John Obi Mikel’s agent has failed to pour cold water on reports the 28-year-old Chelsea star is on his way to Real Madrid (presumably because he’s environmentally conscious about wasting water?)

*Chelsea say 21-year-old forward Patrick Bamford (scorer of 19 Middlesbrough goals) will only be allowed on loan to a Premier League side if he can play regular football.
