For the first time ever, the season will begin on a Friday.
The live televised Premier League fixtures between August and October have been announced, with the season starting on a Friday evening for the first time in its history.
Arsenal will take on Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Friday 11 August as the season gets underway on Sky Sports, while Watford’s clash with Liverpool has been moved to lunchtime on Saturday 12 August. That game will also be shown on Sky.
BT Sport’s first game of the season will see Manchester City travel to newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion, while Tottenham (away to Newcastle) and Manchester United (at home to West Ham) will both be shown on Sky on Sunday 13 August.
Tottenham v Chelsea is the pick of the fixtures in the second group of games, while Liverpool fans can look forward to the visit of Arsenal on Sky Sports on Sunday 27 August.
