Jurgen Klopp faced the biggest test of his brief Liverpool career when his team took on an under-pressure Jose Mourinho and Chelsea.
The defending champions have yet to get their season started, and after today’s 3-1 loss their title challenge is all but done before after picking up just 11 points from 11 games.
The day started out so well for Mourinho, as Ramires out his team in front in the opening minutes of the game.
Goal Chelsea. Ramires after three minutes. Moreno never moved. Good header but dreadful marking.

New four-year contract and Ramires celebrates by putting #CFC 1-0 up!

But still the champions never felt in control, and this was typified by Diego Costa. The striker was up to his old tricks by lashing out against Martin Skrtel.
Howard Webb on Costa stamp: "If Clattenburg had benefit of our cameras, Diego Costa would have been sent off there. It is a clear red card."

Shame referee chose to do nothing about Costa’s stamp. Hopefully @FA will. #CHELIV

Then Philippe Coutinho levelled the scores with a controversial goal deep into injury time.

You can all thank me. Took Coutinho out my fantasy league team. You're welcome.

But the Brazilian playmaker wasn’t done, scoring again in the 74th minute to give Liverpool the lead before Christian Benteke added a third to hand Chelsea their sixth league defeat of the season – an all-time high for a Mourinho team.
The most Mourinho has lost in an entire league season is six games. Matched by October, then…
— Miguel Delaney (@MiguelDelaney) October 31, 2015
Before this season, José Mourinho had only ever lost 1 game at Stamford Bridge in the League. This season he’s lost 3 and it’s only October.

And opposing fans were quick to rub salt into the wounds.

€45m to sack Mourinho starting to look like a bargain. Never thought I’d say this.

What now for Jose? Is he finished at Chelsea?
