In addition to all the excited chatter about whether or not Leicester City can really win the title, there’s been another much-scrutinised question on the lips of English football fans: will Alexandre Pato ever actually get a game at Chelsea?
Well, the day of reckoning has arrived. The Brazilian made his debut against Aston Villa on Saturday, replacing the injured Loic Remy in the first half.
People couldn’t quite believe the news.
Does anyone have photo or video proof that @AlexandrePato is playing football? And more importantly, playing in a @ChelseaFC shirt? #Pato

But it gets better for Chelsea fans – who it’s fair to say have had a very anticlimactic season on the whole – as Pato managed to win a penalty for his team and subsequently converted it to give his side a 2-0 advantage.
The confident penalty went down a storm on social media, with many commenting on the fact that ‘The Duck’ has already surpassed Eden Hazard’s Premier League goal tally this season…

Might be a bit extreme, but I think we should offer Pato a five-year deal on £140k per week.
