There’s foresight and then there’s downright prophecy!

Few footballing breakthroughs have been more meteoric than that of Marcus Rashford, the 18-year-old Manchester United forward who has required no time at all in cementing his status as one of the most exciting young talents to ever set foot on the Old Trafford pitch.

Rashford came seemingly from nowhere when, earlier this year, he profited from an Anthony Martial injury to score two goals on his first outing for the Red Devils in a Europa League clash with FC Midtjylland.

Since that fateful February night, the Manchester-born youngster scored on his Premier League debut, England U21 debut, his full England debut and became the youngest player to ever score in a Manchester derby.

Not too shabby.

But Twitter user Anthony Parkinson saw it all coming.

Shortly after Rashford’s 15th birthday, this perspicacious football fan believed he had seen enough to make a pretty bold claim about the prodigy.

Long before Louis van Gaal took his seat in the Old Trafford dugout and gave him a shot, Rashford was on the radar of @AntParkinson17.

We’d possibly stop short of calling him the 21st century Nostradamus just yet, but he definitely saw something in the England man.

As for whether or not Ant has the mystic edge over this guy that somehow called Jack Wilshere’s loan move to Bournemouth a whole year before it happened – well we’ll let you lot be the judge of that.
