Tyson Fury hasn’t fought in almost two years, but he seems confident of his chances against Anthony Joshua.
Fury’s last bout was a victory over Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015. After two re-matches were postponed in 2016, Fury stepped away from the sport over mental health issues.
He recently suggested on social media that he will reapply for his boxing license ahead of a return to the ring next year.
Thanks to the BBBOC for giving me the green light to box in 2018.👍🏻👍🏻 pic.twitter.com/wuJhjtZzo1

Joshua recorded the 20th victory of his professional career in Cardiff on Saturday, beating Carlos Takam in a difficult bout thanks to a 10th round stoppage. The 28-year-old said following the contest that he is open to a fight with Fury.
“It’s Anthony Joshua versus the world right now, I have got to fight them all,” Joshua said.
“Eddie is right, as a promoter it works well for him, it works well for me and I think it works well for people who want to watch me and Tyson Fury get it on. I wish him the best of luck with what he’s going through because we need to see him back in the ring. Eddie has been on the phone to Tyson, trying to make things happen and support his cause. This is a fight, down the line, that might happen.”

The fight between the undefeated British heavyweights is one boxing fans and general sport fans want to see. It would undoubtedly sell-out Wembley stadium and could potentially break British box-office records.
A lot has to happen before Joshua and Fury can step into the ring together though, but Fury reckons he’d make light work of Joshua, and WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. The 29-year-old had a lot to say during a flurry of social media posts on Tuesday.
I reckon I can beat @anthonyfjoshua & @BronzeBomber now even at 25 stone & after being out almost 2 years! My style is unbeatable. Ask wlad

Tyson claimed his footwork would give him the edge over AJ.
My fight with @anthonyfjoshua will be won with my feet! Can't hit what you can't see! The best footwork in the game.

And he predicted that the fight wouldn’t go the distance.
I'm gonna stop you @anthonyfjoshua inside 8 rounds watch me go.

He then took issue with bookmakers having Joshua as favourite for any potential bout between them.
What do the bookies know they had me 5/1 underdog vs wlad & it was an easy nights work.

And compared himself to Muhammad Ali in a lengthy Instagram post.
