Fans were left stunned by some of the scores
Boxing fans were left stunned in the aftermath of the Tyson Fury-Dillian Whyte fight after the scorecards from the ‘Gypsy King’s’ sixth-round victory were revealed.
Fury secured the win with a sixth-round stoppage
Fury secured the win on his homecoming return to Wembley Stadium with a brutal uppercut which saw the ‘Body Snatcher’ fall to the floor and struggle to compose himself, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
Pundits and fans of the sport thought that Fury deserved the win and was largely in control throughout the bout, landing many blows and giving Whyte no chance to try and land a shot of any significance.
However the scorecards show that one of the judges scored two of the first three rounds in favour of the challenger, despite his obvious lack of attack in the ring.
The 34-year-old adopted a southpaw stance in the opening round to try and counteract Fury’s jab, but wasn’t of any success and swapped to orthodox to the rest of the fight.
Guido Cavalleri, of Italy awarded Whyte the first round while Juan Carlos Pelayo, of Mexico scored in favour of Whyte for two of the first three rounds.
Robert Tapper meanwhile scored all five rounds in favour of Fury however fans were left puzzled by the decision of the other two judges.

Following the fight Fury announced his retirement from boxing however there are still doubts as to whether he actually means it or not.
Some people believe that the Morecambe-born fighter is awaiting the outcome of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua, where they feel he will take on the winner in a unification bout.
