In December, Tyson Fury claimed that he would never “see 18 and a half stone again.”
Well he’s not far off it as his incredible weight loss journey is essentially complete, with Fury showing off his new trim physique at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night.
Fury was present for George Groves’ hard-earned victory over Chris Eubank Jr in the World Boxing Super Series super-middleweight semi-final and he looked in considerably better shape than we’ve seen him in recent months.
Having ballooned up to 27 stone in his time away from the ring, the extent of Fury’s weight loss journey was laid bare by Ricky Hatton in November, when ‘The Hitman’ posted a photograph to Twitter displaying the physical condition of both men.

Fury dedicated himself to an intense training regime which, coupled with a ketogenic diet, saw him lose his belly while he convinced the British Boxing Board of Control to lift the suspension of his boxing licence.
The 29-year-old’s UK Anti-Doping ban was also backdated two years, which frees him up to make a comeback in the coming months, having been away from the ring since 2015.
As he sat ringside for Groves’ stunning win this weekend, Fury showed off his slim physique and revealed just how much weight he’d lost.
“I’m weighing 18 stone 10lbs solid!” Fury told iFL TV.
“All the heavyweights out there can suck my balls because I’m coming back! It’s Mac year!”
Fury will likely take a tune-up fight in the spring, with the ultimate goal of meeting fellow undefeated heavyweight Anthony Joshua before 2018 is out.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that the all-British showdown could take place earlier than many fans initially expected.
“It could happen in the summer,” Hearn told Sky Sports last month. “If he wants to go straight into that fight, no problem for Anthony Joshua.
“But what we also want is the best Tyson Fury, we don’t want a guy who comes out after two-and-a-half years, Anthony wins that one and everyone says ‘but it wasn’t the best Tyson Fury’. We want the best one possible.
“He should have some warm-up fights but if he looks bad in them, it decreases the value of the fight and it might decrease the interest for the fight, but one thing is for sure, Tyson Fury is an excellent heavyweight and Anthony Joshua wants to beat him and beat everyone.”
