Man Utd listed Maguire as captain
Bruno Fernandes was listed as Manchester United’s captain for their Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid by UEFA, despite club-captain Harry Maguire being named as the skipper by the Red Devils.
Ralf Rangnick’s side face-off against Diego Simeone’s men at the Wanda Metropolitano in the first leg of their last 16 tie tonight (February 23)
Prior to United’s game against Atletico, UEFA seemingly made an error by naming Fernandes as the captain against Madrid as United had Maguire down as the man with the armband.

Interim boss Rangnick recently admitted that he can’t give Maguire any guarantees that he will continue as the Red Devils captain beyond the end of the season.
He said: “About the captaincy, we have a captain in Harry Maguire and he will stay the captain until the end of the season for sure.
“What will happen in the next one, two, three and four years, I don’t know.
“For me, it’s not of any importance. For me it’s important what happens in the next three months.”
Rangnick made three changes for the clash against Atletico, with Fred, Marcus Rashford and Raphael Varane coming in for the absent Scott McTominay, Jesse Lingard and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez started on the bench for the home side.
