Masvidal and Covington have had a long-standing rivalry
UFC stars Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington were involved in a brawl outside a Miami restaurant on Monday night.
Police were called to the scene to separate the two fighters outside the Papi steak restaurant. It follows reports that claimed Masvidal arrived at the restaurant shortly after Covington had posted a video of himself eating there.
Footage on Twitter shows Covington being surrounded by police as well as him speaking to social media star Bob Menery, asking him: “How would he know I am here?”

It said: “Call this the show your face challenge.
“You talk that s**t, you gotta back it up, that’s how my city rolls, man.”
Both fighters have had a long-standing rivalry as a result of alleged claims that Covington failed to pay Masvidal’s long-time striking coach Paulino Hernandez, which led to the duo being kicked out of Florida’s American Top Team Gym as punishment.
Masvidal has since returned to Top Team whereas Covington now trains at close rivals MMA Masters.
The two also met during UFC 272 at the start of March, where it what largely expected their bitter feud would be settled, with Covington claiming a convincing win by unanimous decision against his former teammate, training partner and close friend.
