It looks as thought the hectic Christmas schedule has taken its toll on the Liverpool squad as they prepare for their meeting with West Ham this afternoon.
Divock Origi and James Milner were ruled out earlier in the week, while Joe Allen was always a doubt for the Upton Park clash.
But the Reds have also travelled to London without captain Jordan Henderson and returning striker Daniel Sturridge.
Sturridge is back in training after various injury setbacks, and it was thought that he may play a part in the club’s first game of 2016.
Jurgen Klopp has decided not to risk the forward, however, and has also left Henderson at home due to a heel injury.
Lucas Leiva is likely to deputise for Henderson, while Christian Benteke will lead the line looking for his third goal in consecutive matches.
