Angel Di Maria’s move to PSG could be imminent, with Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal refusing to comment on the player’s future.
The Daily Mail report the record signing will join up with United’s squad for their US tour, despite suggestions to the contrary, but the paper notes that van Gaal was cagey when asked about the Argentine’s potential departure.
“When we think we shall have to say something I shall say it,” van Gaal said.
If Di Maria moves to Paris, United would likely take a hit on the £59.7m they paid for him last summer.
With the arrival of Memphis Depay, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, the club seem much better prepared to cope without the former Real Madrid man than they might have been in the past.
Depay found the net in United’s win over the San Jose Earthquakes, though Schweinsteiger failed to cover himself in glory, earning criticism from van Gaal after the game.
