VAR is broken, here are three ways we can make it work

VAR was supposed to make football fairer, yet it seems to be creating more problems than it's solving. This is how we fix it

VAR, what is it good for?

Football is still getting to grips with VAR. The system was brought in to make matches fairer, to ensure that fewer matches were decided on unfair calls and to reduce the amount of controversy in the game. That hasn’t happened.

Still, football fans find themselves arguing about refereeing decisions after they’ve gone to VAR. The delays are too long. Fans in the stadiums don’t know what’s happening.

Here are three ways to fix this broken system, starting with the offside rule.
