German referee Felix Zwayer went full supply teacher during Bayer Leverkusen’s match against Borussia Dortmund.
Leverkusen boss Roger Schmidt was sent to the stands as punishment for his complaints about a perceived foul in the build-up to the visitors’ opening goal.
But after the 48-year-old kicked up a fuss, Zwayer decided to pull the old ‘it’s your own time you’re wasting’ approach.
How did he do this, you ask? He went and hid in the tunnel until Schmidt was gone from the touchline. With 23 minutes of the match remaining.
That’s one way of taking matters into your own hands.
