Mesut Ozil has earned plenty of plaudits for his performances for Arsenal this season.
The German has been instrumental in his side’s push for a first title in over a decade, racking up an impressive number of assists in the process.
But while the World Cup winner might often appear mild-mannered and a picture of calm on the field of play, it seems that’s not always the case when things don’t go to plan.
Arsenal’s visit to Carrow Road in November was a disappointing one for a side with aspirations of winning the Premier League. After Ozil had given them the lead, the were pegged back by Norwich when Lewis Grabban scored just before half-time.
Footage from after the game, posted on Norwich City’s YouTube channel in December, shows the players trudging back to their dressing rooms.
Ozil, with a face like thunder, can be heard muttering as he passes the camera. Although most of his comment has been bleeped out, it appears that he says:
“Their defence is f**king sh*t.”
See for yourself. The incident appears to take place at around the 7.50 mark in the video below.
